Salary: £27,000.00 per annum

Job Description

We are recruiting for 2 Addiction Therapists for the UK’s leading Addiction Rehab Centre provider. Their purpose is to provide excellent care and treatment to enable all those suffering from addictive disorders to achieve a goal of life-long recovery.

They treat addiction as an illness, not a life choice and ensure that all our practitioners are highly trained and motivated to enable individuals to embark on a life-changing process.


As a Therapist, you will be helping people overcome their addictions within one of our residential settings using the 12 step programme. You will be reporting into the Centre Manager, this is a role for somebody who is compassionate, genuine and courageous. You will need to be passionate about Therapy and want to make a difference to people’s lives.

Qualifications/ Experience required

 

Desirable:

  • 12-Step programme knowledge
  • Two years experience of direct client work
  • Experience of providing direct client services particularly assessment & group-work.
  • Experience of working in partnership with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, including assessing high-risk situations for clients.

 

Essential:

  • Experience of direct work with substance misusing clients
  • Minimum Level 4 qualification (or higher) in Counseling or equivalent
  • Experience of developing and delivering therapeutic support programmes
  • Proven skills in planning and administration.
  • Ability and willingness to develop the treatment programme to suit client needs.
  • Accreditation with an appropriate registered body.

40 hrs a week, either 8.30 – 5pm or 9 – 5.30pm  No night work, working one weekend in 4.
