Job Summary:
Support the Centre Manager, and the Therapeutic team in providing a service and engaging the clients in decision making and behavioural change as well as supporting clients in the successful completion of their treatment journey with the Company.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The following is not an exhaustive list of duties but an overview of the work required.
- Undertake all duties and responsibilities in accordance with:
The Company’s policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines and standards
Good professional practice and the Company’s Quality Assurance strategy
CQC and other regulatory requirements
Relevant legislation
All legal and contractual obligations
Particularly in relation to information governance, confidentiality, diversity, health & safety and medication control as defined from time to time
- Assist in ensuring that the cleanliness and safety of the centre is maintained to a high standard
- Assist with intake, assessment and discharge interventions.
- Supervise the safe custody, control, administration and documenting of medication, ensuring the medication is prescribed on time and assisting clients where necessary.
- Support the therapy team in:
the development, implementation and monitoring of a range of client interventions
the delivery of 12 step work and basic group work
- Ensure clients observe the programme’s rules and support the manager in investigating and taking action where these may have been breached including substance testing.
- Provide advice, information and support to clients including that focus on maintaining an abstinent lifestyle.
- Maintain accurate client records
- Assist in the transfer of individuals between agencies and services.
- Assist in ensuring that the centre is a clean, orderly and safe building.
- Ensure residents attend external appointments in line with their care plan by supporting them to access transport or accompanying them if necessary.
- Escort clients to any external excursions as part of their residence and therapeutic programme.
- Supporting clients with undertaking daily living responsibilities as part of their therapeutic programme.
- Ensure that service users are given interim questionnaires to complete and assist if necessary for quality control purposes
- Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required by the Line Manager and/or the Senior Management Team or Directors.
