Experience Required:

Experience of providing care and support to people with physical disabilities and complex health needs
At least one years’ experience of supervising or managing staff
Possession of minimum qualification of Diploma/NVQ Level 3
Possession of Diploma/NVQ Level 4 or equivalent professional qualification (social work or nursing)
Degree level and/or managerial qualifications
A warm, respectful and person-centred approach
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to listen sensitively to others
Support and supervise staff and be a professional role model to staff
Ability to liaise in a professional manner with other agencies and to work in a positive way with the families and friends of service users
Conduct support, needs and risk assessments and devise support and risk management plans accordingly
Promote anti-discriminatory practice at the service and ensure that the service is welcoming & inclusive to all service users
Willingness to work flexible hours according to needs of the agency and service users
Willingness and ability to participate in Out of Hour on call duties

Hours of Work:

Full time hours are 37.5 per week. To be worked flexibly on a rota which will include evenings, weekends and public holidays according to the needs of the service.
