  1. Personal Care Support
    • Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
    • Help clients with mobility, including transfers, positioning, and the use of mobility aids.
    • Provide assistance with continence care and monitor for signs of discomfort or distress.
  2. Medication Administration and Health Monitoring
    • Administer medication reminders and support clients in adhering to prescribed medication routines.
    • Support clients with basic health monitoring, such as taking temperatures or measuring blood pressure if required.
  3. Household and Domestic Assistance
    • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment.
    • Assist with meal preparation, cooking, and feeding if necessary, adhering to any specific dietary needs.
    • Support clients in running errands, such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions.
  4. Companionship and Emotional Support
    • Engage in meaningful conversations and activities, providing companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
    • Encourage clients to participate in activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
    • Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with clients and their families.
  5. Promoting Independence and Safety
    • Encourage and assist clients in doing as much for themselves as possible, promoting self-care and independence.
    • Follow care plans and support clients in achieving their individual goals and personal care plans.
    • Ensure client safety by following prescribed care protocols and reporting any incidents or hazards.
  6. Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including medication, daily activities, and any significant changes.
    • Communicate effectively with healthcare teams, family members, and other support staff.



This is a temp to perm position - you will work for Cucumber Recruitment as an agency staff member for a period of 13 weeks before transferring onto a permanent contract with our client.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8 Months experience in care minimum
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanour.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed care instructions.
  • Relevant experience and a qualification in health and social care (preferred).
  • Valid UK driver’s license is preferred but not essential as long as live local to BA2
  • Mental Health Experience preferred
