About Us:
We are a domiciliary care company based in Didcot, providing high-quality care to individuals in need of support in their homes. Due to an urgent need for assistance, we are seeking a Care Manager locum to support our team. This role offers flexible working hours and could be part-time or full-time for an initial period of one month to help address immediate challenges. There is also potential for further ongoing work.


Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Care Manager locum to assist our current Care Manager in staying on top of essential management functions. You will play a key role in ensuring that our services run smoothly, offering support in areas such as recruitment, care planning, risk assessments, staff supervision, and overall management. You will help ensure the high standards of care we provide are consistently maintained.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Care Manager in managing the daily functions of the service, including recruitment and staff supervision.
  • Support in writing and reviewing care plans and conducting risk assessments.
  • Supervise and guide care staff to ensure high-quality care delivery.
  • Assist with scheduling and allocating care staff, ensuring coverage is met.
  • Help ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and care standards.
  • Provide support and advice to improve operational efficiency and client care.
  • Some flexibility for home working, as required.


Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Care Manager or in a similar role within a domiciliary care company.
  • Strong understanding of the Health and Social Care industry and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with recruitment, care planning, risk assessments, and staff supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide practical advice and solutions to improve service delivery.
  • Ideally, a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.


Work Hours and Flexibility:

  • Ideally part-time (around 16 hours per week), but flexible working arrangements are possible.
  • Home working may be acceptable for some tasks.
  • Alternatively, full-time for one month to help address immediate workload challenges, with potential for ongoing work.



Salary £12,000 to £36,000 per annum/Pro Rata
