The role…

We are seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker who has experience of working in Ofsted registered EBD homes to join our team in Bolton Greater Manchester.

 

We are looking for an individual who is dedicated to meeting and exceeding the highest standards of care to ensure the children we care for are safe, nurtured and able to grow, develop and heal from their past experiences.

Key responsibilities of the role include:


  • Actively promote the welfare, safety, personal development, and wellbeing of Children putting them at the heart of everything we do.
  • Follow the guidelines from the 1989 Children’s Act, Children’s Home Regulations 2015, Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023 and any other relevant legislation.
  • To plan, manage and lead shifts ensuring children are kept safe and engaged.
  • Provide support for children in their education and extracurricular activities and accompany them on community/family visits.
  • To conduct staff meetings and supervisions.
  • Keep accurate records and provide written reports on young people for planning meetings, reviews or any other meetings as directed.
  • Ensure that all duties undertaken by reporting staff are performed to required standards.
  • Ensure all such staff contribute in a positive manner to provide a happy, efficient and homely atmosphere.
  • To keep up to date of all new legislation and regulations relating to Health & Safety


Key Requirements:


  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within Residential Childcare
  • Good knowledge of Quality Standards and OFSTED regulations
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • UK Drivers License
  • Level 3 or Level 4 in Residential Childcare/Children and young people’s workforce or willing to work towards
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
