Qualifications/ Experience required

Essential criteria:

Experience of direct work with substance misusing clients.
Member of BACP or NCPS.
Level 4 or higher qualification in Counselling or equivalent
Two years’ experience of direct client work with at least one years’ experience of working with substance misusers in a therapeutic setting.
Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering therapeutic support programs.
Hands-on experience providing client services, with a focus on assessments and facilitating group sessions.
A flexible and open approach with strong communication skills, particularly in leading and managing sessional staff, volunteers, and clients.
Proven leadership ability to guide a team and foster a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both statutory and non-statutory agencies.
Strong planning and administrative capabilities to ensure smooth program operations.
A commitment to adapting and enhancing treatment programs to meet client needs.
A solid understanding of the importance of maintaining quality standards, monitoring performance, and compiling relevant statistical data for stakeholders.
Knowledge of health and safety protocols, including the ability to assess and manage high-risk situations for clients.
