Team Leader - Adults with Learning Disabilities, Cannock

Salary: £13.55 - £13.81 per hour

Are you an experienced support worker ready to take the next step? We’re looking for a Team Leader to join our friendly and dedicated team supporting adults with learning disabilities in Cannock.


Summary of the Role

To have responsibility for the operational management of a high quality outreach service for people with learning disabilities located in the Cannock area.  To ensure that the service provided is responsive to the needs and preferences of service users and their families. To ensure that all contract requirements and expectations are fully met.

To ensure that service users receive individualised person centred support which enables them to enjoy a fulfilling and valued life, to participate in the community and to develop their abilities as fully as possible.


Duties:

  • Lead and motivate a team delivering person-centred support
  • Support individuals with daily living, independence and community activities
  • Manage rotas, staff supervision and shift leadership
  • Ensure care plans are delivered, reviewed and tailored to individual needs
  • Work with families, professionals, and partner agencies to ensure high-quality care
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all service users


Hours of Work:                                                  

37.5 hours per week including weekends and public holidays according to the needs of the service.

The post holder will be required to participate in an on-call rota for which an allowance will be paid.

Experience required:

  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities
  • Previous team leader or supervisory experience
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
  • A positive, person-centred and proactive approach
  • Flexible to work shifts including weekends and participate in on-call
