Senior Support Worker - Learning Disability Service, Blackpool

We are seeking a warm, dedicated Senior Support Worker to join a Learning Disability Service in Blackpool. This is a Temp-to-Perm (TTP) opportunity, offering the chance to move into a long-term role within a high-quality supported living environment.

You will deliver individualised, person-centred support, helping people with learning disabilities live independent, fulfilling and valued lives within their homes and communities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs.
• Promoting dignity, independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
• Supporting with daily living skills, personal care and community participation.
• Using positive behaviour support approaches where needed.
• Monitoring wellbeing and updating support plans, records and reports.
• Administering medication safely and in line with procedures.
• Offering informal guidance and support to junior staff.
• Contributing to reviews, meetings and service improvements.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
• Warm, respectful communication and excellent relationship-building skills.
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
• Calm, patient approach and emotional resilience.
• Ability to support with personal care and health needs.
• Experience supervising or supporting junior staff (desirable).
