We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Team Leader to support the operational management of a high-quality Supported Living service for adults with learning disabilities and autism in Blackpool.


This is a Temp-to-Perm opportunity, ideal for someone who is passionate about leadership, person-centred care and driving best practice within a service.

You will lead a committed team to ensure individuals receive personalised, meaningful support that promotes independence, wellbeing and community participation



About the Role:

As Team Leader, you will:

Lead high-quality, person-centred care

  • Ensure individuals receive personalised support that promotes choice, dignity, independence and a fulfilling, valued life.
  • Support people to access community activities, social opportunities, education and leisure.
  • Promote emotional wellbeing, self-esteem and positive relationships.

Coach, develop and support staff

  • Build warm, trusting relationships with service users and role-model excellent practice.
  • Supervise, mentor and appraise staff, identifying training needs and supporting development.
  • Chair team meetings and nurture a culture of collaboration, openness and respect.

Deliver safe and effective services

  • Oversee medication processes, health checks and risk assessments.
  • Implement strategies for individuals who may express their needs through behaviours that challenge.
  • Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies in line with policy.

Manage operations & compliance

  • Coordinate staff rotas, deploy staff effectively and ensure all activities take place as planned.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, financial records and care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding procedures and health & safety policies.
  • Support service reviews, audits, outcome monitoring and quality improvements.


What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Experience supervising or managing staff.
  • A warm, positive, person-centred approach to support.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to listen sensitively.
  • Knowledge of support planning, risk assessments and positive behaviour support.
  • Ability to liaise professionally with families, agencies and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Initiative, resourcefulness and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Familiarity with CQC guidance, safeguarding and best practice.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and sleep-ins as needed.
