We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Support Coordinator to help manage a high-quality Supported Living service for adults with learning disabilities and autism in Blackpool.


This is a Temp-to-Perm opportunity ideal for someone who wants to grow into a leadership role while still being closely involved in person-centred care.

You will support the operational running of the service, coach and supervise staff, and ensure every individual receives personalised, empowering support that promotes independence, wellbeing and inclusion



Key Responsibilities

Supporting Service Users

  • Ensure person-centred support that promotes choice, independence and social inclusion.
  • Build warm, trusting relationships that enhance self-esteem and emotional wellbeing.
  • Support individuals to develop life skills, access community opportunities and maintain healthy lifestyles.
  • Oversee risk assessments, support plans and behavioural support strategies, ensuring they are up to date and effectively implemented.
  • Monitor wellbeing, respond to incidents appropriately, and ensure safe administration and recording of medication.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, supervise and motivate staff to deliver high-quality support.
  • Plan staffing to meet service needs, delegate tasks and ensure all activities and programmes are delivered.
  • Provide supervision, performance management, coaching and training.
  • Promote a positive, open team culture and lead regular team meetings.
  • Support with staff recruitment and induction.

Service & Quality Management

  • Ensure services meet organisational, contractual and CQC quality standards.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with families, multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies.
  • Promote safeguarding, health and safety, equality and best practice at all times.
  • Support service audits, budget monitoring, record-keeping and administrative systems.
  • Encourage feedback, manage complaints appropriately, and support continuous service improvement.


About You

We are seeking someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding support and who can lead by example.


Essential Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Experience supervising or managing staff.
  • Strong knowledge of person-centred approaches, risk assessment and support planning.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work positively with families and external partners.
  • Ability to use initiative, problem-solve and maintain high professional standards.
  • Understanding of effective strategies for supporting people who may present behaviours of concern.
  • Familiarity with CQC standards and best practice in LD services.
  • Flexible to work rota hours including evenings and weekends.
