Cucumber Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading Scottish charity that delivers high-quality, person‑centred support to adults with physical and complex needs.


We’re currently looking for compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join a residential adult service providing overnight support in Lanark.


The Role


This is a night shift position, working 3 x 12‑hour shifts per week on a planned rota to support a healthy work–life balance.


You’ll be supporting adults who live in their own self‑contained accommodation within a homely, community‑based setting. The focus of the role is to provide reassurance, safety and responsive care throughout the night.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Providing one‑to‑one or two‑to‑one overnight support
  • Assisting with personal care, medication and night‑time routines
  • Supporting mobility, communication and emotional wellbeing
  • Maintaining a safe and calm environment overnight
  • Carrying out checks and responding appropriately to any overnight needs
  • Supporting independence, dignity and personal choice at all times


What’s on Offer


Starting salary of £12.71 per hour, rising to £13.45 per hour after 3 months

32 days annual leave, rising to 37 with service

About You


Applicants must have a minimum of 6 months paid UK care experience.


This role would suit someone who is calm, dependable and values person‑centred care. We’re keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:


A caring and respectful approach

Reliability and confidence working night shifts

An understanding of adult social care (experience is welcome but not essential)

Good communication and teamwork skills


A driving licence is desirable but not essential.
