We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Service Manager to lead and oversee supported living and social care services across the Manchester area.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring services consistently deliver safe, person-centred support while meeting and exceeding all regulatory, contractual, and quality standards.
The successful candidate will have strong operational management experience, an excellent understanding of CQC requirements, and a proven ability to coach and develop teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as the Registered Manager.
Lead the day-to-day management of supported living and social care services.
Drive quality improvement and ensure full regulatory compliance.
Conduct audits, observations, and service assessments.
Develop and implement action plans to address identified issues.
Coach and mentor managers and support teams.
Monitor incidents, safeguarding concerns, and service performance.
Ensure person-centred support plans are robust and regularly reviewed.
Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation.
Prepare reports for senior leadership.
Support recruitment, induction, and training of staff.
About You
You will be a confident and experienced social care leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and support.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience in operational management or leadership within health and social care.
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards.
Experience conducting audits and translating findings into practical improvement plans.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues independently.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Qualifications
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards).
Eligible to register with CQC as a Registered Manager.
Desirable
Experience delivering training and development sessions.
Experience managing supported living or learning disability services.
Track record of improving CQC ratings.
