Cucumber Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Supported Living service in Waterloo, Liverpool, supporting an individual with complex needs including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism.
This is an excellent opportunity for a resilient, compassionate and proactive Support Worker who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support.
The Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide tailored one-to-one support to help an individual live as independently as possible whilst promoting wellbeing, choice, dignity and positive outcomes.
You will support with:
Daily living skills
Emotional wellbeing
Community access and social inclusion
Building independence
Positive behaviour support strategies
Managing and reducing behaviours of concern
Following person-centred support plans
Accurate record keeping and documentation
Safeguarding and risk management
The successful candidate will be confident working within a structured support environment and able to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Previous experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant or similar
Experience supporting individuals with:
Learning Disabilities
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Mental Health Needs
Complex Behaviours
Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
Understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Emotional resilience and a calm approach to challenging situations
Desirable:
PBS Training
MAPA, PMVA or Conflict Resolution Training
Supported Living experience
Autism-specific experience
Mental Health Support experience
Working Pattern
Day Shifts Only
08:00 – 20:00
21 or 36 contracted hours per week
Rotating rota including weekends and bank holidays
Sleep-ins may be available but are not guaranteed
