Cucumber Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Supported Living service in Waterloo, Liverpool, supporting an individual with complex needs including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism.


This is an excellent opportunity for a resilient, compassionate and proactive Support Worker who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide tailored one-to-one support to help an individual live as independently as possible whilst promoting wellbeing, choice, dignity and positive outcomes.

You will support with:

  • Daily living skills
  • Emotional wellbeing
  • Community access and social inclusion
  • Building independence
  • Positive behaviour support strategies
  • Managing and reducing behaviours of concern
  • Following person-centred support plans
  • Accurate record keeping and documentation
  • Safeguarding and risk management


The successful candidate will be confident working within a structured support environment and able to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.

What We're Looking For


Essential:

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant or similar
  • Experience supporting individuals with:
    • Learning Disabilities
    • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
    • Mental Health Needs
    • Complex Behaviours
  • Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Emotional resilience and a calm approach to challenging situations


Desirable:

  • PBS Training
  • MAPA, PMVA or Conflict Resolution Training
  • Supported Living experience
  • Autism-specific experience
  • Mental Health Support experience


Working Pattern

  • Day Shifts Only
  • 08:00 – 20:00
  • 21 or 36 contracted hours per week
  • Rotating rota including weekends and bank holidays
  • Sleep-ins may be available but are not guaranteed
