The Role
As the Registered Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for the leadership, management and regulatory compliance of two children's residential homes.
Working alongside the Responsible Individual and senior leadership team, you'll ensure the homes continue to provide safe, therapeutic, child-centred care whilst maintaining full compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager.
- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary residential care team.
- Ensure full compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Maintain and improve Ofsted inspection outcomes.
- Drive a culture of safeguarding, child-centred care and continuous improvement.
- Oversee admissions, matching and placement stability.
- Ensure robust care planning, risk assessments and behaviour support plans are in place.
- Recruit, induct, supervise, develop and performance manage staff.
- Promote positive outcomes across education, emotional wellbeing, health and independence.
- Manage safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints and medication processes.
- Develop strong relationships with Local Authorities, Social Workers, Ofsted, education providers, healthcare professionals and families.
- Monitor budgets, staffing levels, occupancy and service performance.
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections and Regulation 44 requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, audits and compliance documentation.
