The Role
As a Senior Worker, you will play a key role in supporting individuals with a range of needs while providing guidance and leadership to care teams. You will help ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and compliance are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Support
- Lead by example and promote best practice in person-centred care.
- Provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring, and support to Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants.
- Assist with the induction and ongoing development of new team members.
- Support the management team in maintaining high standards of care delivery.
- Act as a senior point of contact during shifts and respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies.
Care & Support Delivery
- Support adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, complex behaviours, or physical disabilities.
- Promote independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion in all aspects of daily living.
- Deliver and oversee personal care, medication administration, and support with daily activities where required.
- Encourage participation in community activities, education, employment, and social opportunities.
- Provide emotional support and build positive, professional relationships with service users and their families.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and support records are accurate, up to date, and reflective of individual needs.
- Monitor and report changes in health, wellbeing, or behaviour, escalating concerns appropriately.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure compliance with CQC standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits, quality checks, and service improvement initiatives.
- Promote positive behaviour support approaches and use de-escalation techniques when required.
