Cucumber Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's leading specialist care providers for a Housing Case Worker - Driver Only.


Are you a compassionate, driven individual with a passion for helping people rebuild their lives? We're recruiting on behalf of Riverside for a Driving Support Worker to join their Guildford Floating Support team, delivering vital housing and welfare support to customers across Region 5.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong knowledge of housing and welfare benefits, safeguarding experience and a genuine commitment to trauma informed, person centred care.


What You'll Be Doing


You'll be supporting customers using psychologically informed and trauma informed approaches to promote independence and sustain tenancies. Day to day, this includes:


Co-producing support and risk plans with customers and stakeholders

Helping with daily living tasks, tenancy matters and independent living skills

Supporting access to employment, education and training

Preparing customers in temporary accommodation to become tenancy ready

Signposting to food banks, community resources and specialist support

Supporting financial independence through budgeting and income maximisation

Monitoring healthcare needs and encouraging engagement with professionals

Following safeguarding procedures and escalating concerns where needed

Maintaining accurate, strengths based records on the digital platform

Assessing new referrals and liaising with housing providers on suitable accommodation

Advocating for customers and working with local partners for holistic support


This role requires flexibility, including occasional work outside normal office hours, travel across the designated area, and use of lone working systems where required.

What You'll Need


Own car, essential for travelling to customer homes (mileage reimbursed)

Enhanced DBS

Knowledge of housing and welfare benefits

Safeguarding training covering both adults and children

A clear understanding of professional boundaries

Substance misuse

What's on Offer:

Salary:  £26,550 plus 45p per mile

Working Hours:  37.5 hours per week
