Weekend Bank Staff Advisor, Stockport

About the Role

Cucumber Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established and respected health and social care organisation for a Weekend Bank Staff Advisor to join their busy Resourcing Team based at their Stockport Head Office.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, confident and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

You will play an important role in coordinating staffing requirements across care services nationwide, ensuring shifts are covered efficiently and services have the appropriate staff in place to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and arrange shift cover using bank staff and approved recruitment agencies.
• Manage urgent and last-minute staffing requests.
• Liaise with service managers, bank workers and external staffing agencies.
• Contact available staff via telephone, email and dedicated staffing systems to fill shifts.
• Maintain accurate records of staffing requests, shift bookings and worker availability.
• Support the registration and administration of new bank staff.
• Respond professionally to staffing enquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
• Escalate staffing concerns and operational issues where necessary.
• Ensure staffing records and databases are kept accurate and up to date.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain smooth weekend staffing operations.

About You

Essential Requirements:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
• Confident and professional telephone manner.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel and database systems.
• Previous administration or customer service experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, flexible and solutions-focused attitude.

Desirable Experience:

• Health and social care administration.
• Recruitment or staffing coordination.
• Workforce planning or shift allocation.
• Working with temporary, bank or agency staff.

Working Pattern

This position requires working both Saturday and Sunday, 8:00am–8:00pm, totalling 24 hours per week.
