As a Children’s Support Worker you’ll be supporting children under the age of 18 to lead a purposeful life and maintain their independence by attending school, and supporting with recreational activities such as bowling, swimming and days out. Services require support workers to work days, waking nights and sleeping shifts.

As a teaching assistant you will be supporting teachers in a variety of educational settings, aiding with classroom activities and fostering a positive learning environment. You will work closely with teachers, other teaching assistants, and educational staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment

What we’re looking for…

• Preferred experience working with children or young people but not essential as full training can be provided.
• Assisting with daily routines to ensure well-being and structure.
• Assist teachers in managing classrooms, supporting lessons, and engaging with students. This may include preparing materials, setting up equipment, and ensuring a smooth transition between activities
• Support the emotional and social needs of students, offering encouragement and a positive role model.
• Happy and willing to organise and partake in recreational activities.
• Ability to work effectively on your own and within a team.
• Naturally supportive and great at communicating, able to build strong relationships and empathise.
• An individual who is reliable and able to create an safe and welcoming environment.
