About the Role
We are looking for compassionate and motivated Female Support Workers to join our Waterloo Supported Living Service. In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities and/or autism.
You will play a key role in helping people live independently, develop life skills and take part in their local community while promoting dignity, choice and wellbeing.
We are looing for 2 staff - 1 for waking nights 8pm - 8am and one for days 8am - 8pm - 36 Hours per week
Key Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Build positive, trusting relationships with the people you support
- Promote independence, confidence and wellbeing
- Support individuals with daily living skills, personal care and social activities
- Encourage service users to express their views and make their own choices
- Help individuals access community activities, education, employment and leisure opportunities
- Support with health, wellbeing and healthy lifestyle choices
- Assist with the administration and monitoring of medication where required
- Respond positively and safely to behaviours of concern following support plans
- Monitor and report changes in wellbeing to the wider support team
