About the Role


We are looking for compassionate and motivated Female Support Workers to join our Waterloo Supported Living Service. In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities and/or autism.


You will play a key role in helping people live independently, develop life skills and take part in their local community while promoting dignity, choice and wellbeing.


We are looing for 2 staff - 1 for waking nights 8pm - 8am and one for days 8am - 8pm - 36 Hours per week

Key Responsibilities

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with the people you support
  • Promote independence, confidence and wellbeing
  • Support individuals with daily living skills, personal care and social activities
  • Encourage service users to express their views and make their own choices
  • Help individuals access community activities, education, employment and leisure opportunities
  • Support with health, wellbeing and healthy lifestyle choices
  • Assist with the administration and monitoring of medication where required
  • Respond positively and safely to behaviours of concern following support plans
  • Monitor and report changes in wellbeing to the wider support team

Working Hours

  • Days: 36 hours pw - 08:00-20:00
  • Waking Nights: 36 hours pw - 20:00-08:00
  • Shifts worked on a rota basis
  • Includes evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Sleep-in shifts may be available


Additional Information

  • All roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS check
