Cucumber Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Recovery Project Manager to lead a specialist Mental Health Supported Accommodation Service in South Manchester.


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Manager, Project Manager, Supported Housing Manager, Supported Living Manager, Mental Health Manager or Registered Manager looking to progress their career within a well-established and highly respected organisation.


The service supports adults with complex mental health needs, trauma histories, social exclusion, housing-related support needs and recovery-focused pathways. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated staff team, ensuring high-quality, person-centred and outcome-focused support is delivered at all times.


The Role

As Recovery Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational management of a specialist mental health accommodation service. You will ensure service users receive recovery-focused support that promotes independence, wellbeing, resilience and positive outcomes.

You will lead, develop and support a team of Senior Support Workers and Support Workers whilst maintaining excellent relationships with commissioners, mental health professionals, housing providers and partner agencies.


Key Responsibilities

• Operational management of a Mental Health Supported Accommodation Service

• Leadership, supervision and performance management of staff

• Safeguarding leadership and risk management oversight

• Managing referrals, assessments and occupancy levels

• Quality assurance, audits and service improvement

• Contract compliance and commissioner engagement

• Incident management and investigation

• Workforce planning and rota management

• Developing trauma-informed and recovery-focused practice

• Multi-agency partnership working

• Supporting positive move-on outcomes for service users

• Budget awareness and service performance monitoring



Requirements

We are looking for candidates with experience in:

• Mental Health Services

• Supported Accommodation

• Supported Housing

• Supported Living

• Recovery Services

• Complex Needs Services

• Community Mental Health

• Housing Related Support


The successful candidate will have:

• Previous management or supervisory experience within Health and Social Care

• Strong knowledge of Mental Health, Recovery and Trauma-Informed Practice

• Experience of Safeguarding Adults and Risk Management

• Experience of Quality Assurance and Auditing

• Experience of Staff Supervision and Performance Management

• Experience of Assessments, Support Planning and Care Reviews

• Excellent communication and report writing skills

• Strong organisational and leadership skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with commissioners, housing providers and external stakeholders


Desirable Qualifications and Experience

• Level 5 Leadership and Management

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

• Social Work Qualification

• Experience managing supported accommodation services

• Experience working with individuals experiencing dual diagnosis, substance misuse, trauma and social exclusion
