Service Manager / Registered Care Manager, Manchester

Job Description

Are you an experienced leader in domiciliary and extra care services? Do you have a strong track record in managing care teams and delivering high-quality support for people with learning disabilities? If so, we have an exciting temporary opportunity for a Service Manager at Keswick Gardens, a vibrant supported living community with 88 apartments and 600–800 hours of care delivered weekly.


The Role

We are looking for a confident, resilient, and organised leader to take day-to-day responsibility for service operations. You’ll be joining a dynamic management team supporting approximately 35 staff, working alongside two other managers focused on customer-facing duties.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage rota planning, shift coverage, and general service delivery
  • Oversee medication systems and pharmacy transitions for new service users
  • Ensure staff are fully trained and compliant
  • Provide effective leadership, support, and performance reviews for staff
  • Handle stakeholder engagement, particularly with the local authority
  • Maintain high standards in line with CQC and internal policies (no registration duties required)



What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Service Manager or equivalent in domiciliary/extra care settings
  • Strong knowledge of CQC frameworks and safe care practices
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities
  • A capable and diplomatic people manager who can handle complex dynamics
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo a check)


Contract Details

  • Immediate Start Required
  • Minimum 3-month contract, with the potential to extend
  • Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours/week
